Your name, email address, phone number, the school you told us, the courses you have access to, and the notes you write on pages. We also keep a record of when pages were opened, which is how access is checked and how the platform is kept honest about who can read what.

We never store card details. Payments are arranged offline, and what we keep is the reference you give us and the amount.

Course pages are watermarked with your name and email address, repeated faintly across the page. This is deliberate: it is what makes a leaked page traceable, and it is the reason the material can be published at all.

Your phone number is never printed on a page. It is collected so the provider can contact you about payment, and it is visible to administrators only.

In the European Union. The database is hosted in London, the page images in the EU jurisdiction of Cloudflare R2, and email is sent through a provider in Ireland.

Administrators of Different Approach see your account details, your access, and your requests. Other students never see your details and never see your notes.

We do not sell anything to anybody, and there is no advertising or third-party analytics on this site.

Announcements can be turned off from your account page or from the unsubscribe link in any of them.

Sign-in codes, email confirmations, password resets, decisions on your access requests and warnings before access ends are not optional — they are how the platform tells you about your own account, and switching them off would break the thing you are trying to use.

Ask us and we will close it. Your notes and any cached page images are deleted with it.

Records of payments are kept, because they are financial records and we are required to hold them.
